every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end...

It's true - I have not updated in a little while. I blame Twitter. Now that I shamefully joined that, anything I have to update about I kinda just do through there. And then I stopped caring about things and never cared to make an effort on informing people about things that either A. they already know about or B. no one cares about but me. So what's the point?

But today is a special day. Today is my last day at MGuide. And I will flat out tell you that because I will no longer be sitting in front of a computer screen all day, I probably won't update. So now you know. (And knowing is half the battle) We've had some good times here. You can look through the archives to see what those good times were. I wouldn't really say I'm heading on to bigger and better things. But hopefully I am moving on to bigger and better money. And less trips to the gas station. And shorter commute times. So we'll see how this works out.

So I really had nothnig to say. I just thought it was appropriate for me to update once more. This started as a time killer at MGuide. And I will no longer be working at MGuide so I won't need to kill that time anymore. And with that I bid you adieu.

Oh and here's some random songs/videos for you:

man jason segel really loves les mis (he's sung it with paul rudd too)

i like how the lead singer dances in this video. i don't know why. plus its a good song.

wtf this video? Very random and stupid. I just wanted the song. It's my goodbye song.

put on my pjs and hop into bed...

My dreams last night as I explained them to Lisa:

(07:30:27) katie o: at one point i was in a dept store in line to check out and there was a xhristmas elf in front of me holding the line up because he was writing out christmas cards to people and signing them from santa
(07:31:23) katie o: and my branch manager was the cashier
(07:31:32) katie o: and the elf talked in an elf voice
(07:33:09) katie o: the other part was in the dept store there was an obstacle course that if you crawled around it a certain amount of times you won $10,000. lesley and jen were doing it with me but they gave up and everytime i crawled past the electronic section i saw lisa and tim picking out a new tv
(07:34:56) katie o: apparently i was the only one left so i thought im so gonna win but then my bank manager/cashier came over and kept talking to me disctracting me and the next thing i know i took too long so they took it down
(07:35:20) katie o: i can't even get a lot of money in dreams!

No more Lager before bed. It keeps me awake and gives me weird ass dreams and causing me to continuously wake up. So today is going to be an extremely long day full of tiredness and eagerness to be home. We'll see if I'm awake enough for Quizzo. Man and I was actually planning on going tonight. We shall see...

as you make it unreal...

Paste Magazine did a review of 25 indie films to see before December. I haven't had a chance to watch all the trailers yet but some look decent and I'll have to keep an eye out for them. They mention the Nick Hornby, An Education, movie I mentioned before. The one that stuck out that I am pretty interested in seeing is Brothers. It has Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Toby Maguire, oh and the cute little girl from Bridge to Terabithia. The storyline is about a guy who went to war (Toby) and presumed dead. He actually is alive and comes home to find his wife (Portman) with his brother (Jake). When I first read the summary it seemed like a plot that has been done before. But the trailer makes it look good and unique. imo. And of course of all 25 films, this one is the last one to come out - 12/4/09.

i am, i am a zombie...

Thanks Jamie! New Pretty Reckless demos. I'm such a nerd but I like her songs.

im good without you...

Ugh I'm feeling so emo today

in a way, i need a change

from this burnout scene
another time, another town
another everything

how many times can i break till i shatter?
over the line can't define what i'm after
i always turn the car around
give me a break let me make my own pattern
all that it takes is some time but i'm shattered

all that i feel is the realness i'm faking
taking my time but it's time that i'm wasting

i wrote them down for you to contemplate at a later date...

I went on MySpace today for the first time since probably about May. I wanted to reread my haikus and share them with you. I don't remember when or who I was talking about them with but it doesn't matter. So here you go. It's amazing how my life hasn't changed over a year later.

Current mood: artistic

Bored at work I am
So I write little haikus
Hope you enjoy them

I did not shower
I probably smell real bad
Oh well sucks for you

It's a new hour
It must be time to go pee
My bladder so small

I like food on grill
Hot dog Hambuger Chicken
Ode to Barbecue

I'm not wearing shoes
Like to be barefoot at work
I really like feet

Working people sit
Listening to ads all day
Mediaguide YAY!

Ninjas are real cool
They kick the poop out of nerds
They will kill you hard

Cold beer tastes so good
I'd like to drink it all day
Life would be so sweet

This week needs to end
I don't like working two jobs
Want to sleep real late

My tummy is big
But not because I'm pregnant
I just like to eat

I am so sleepy
It is hard to stay awake
Energy drinks suck

I hope you enjoyed my haikus and my first blog in over two years. And those haikus actually sum up my curret life too - working at Mediaguide, like to sleep, like to eat, i like feet, ninjas, and peeing a lot. Yep that's my life. Keep it real!
